Wierd algae?

anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it?

It could be bryopsis. Kent M - magnesium is what I've read about using.

My first guess was byropsis. Would regular magnesium work?

It has to be the Kent M brand. Supposedly Kent M is the only one that contains lithium and that's the "magical" ingredient that kills the bryopsis. When the mag level reaches 1800 the byopsis turns white and dies. It still has to be manually removed.

Yea if u do it slow enough ive gone even higher evenually colors started to fade so i lowered it slowly everything but the algae lived

Did you use the Kent m stuff?

Your corals should be fine but snails start to look a little lethargic when the mag level is that high.

I don't have very many snail anyway. Only a few turbos.
