Just a few more pictures. Got an iPhone for Christmas so I've been taking a lot of pictures with it when walking past the tank when I don't have the time to pull out my camera and set that up.

Just a few updated pictures. Tank has been on cruise control besides water changes and some recent hair algae.

New frogspawn

Saw this at old orchard aquarium and figured I'd give it a shot... Gsp covered return duckbill!

And a fts. My pulsing Xenia got big then fell over and attached in one spot then did it again so now it's huge!

One picture I took about an hour after feeding my chunk of sun coral that Brad had Blake cut me off from the big piece he got.

Looking good John! I love how you have done so much with such a small space. The ric garden is looking nice too. BTW, we have some new rics coming in next week. New supplier and crazy ones from what I'm told...

I will have to stop by and possibly purchase one! or Two... or three!

I've done what I can so far, now I'm really looking to add more quality pieces opposed to the initial quantity that I went for. Those sun coral polyps look awesome at night and I found a perfect spot for them that gets pretty dark. Now I'm just on the search for sweet **** to fill in the empty spots.

I haven't really been active on here or any forum Because I've been busy with other stuff going on in my life.

Cleaned out my tank of a bunch of corals that died, stuff that overgrew the tank and then reaquascaped the tank.

I didn't throw away any corals besides a copious amount of pulsing Xenia that had overstayed its welcome.

New FTS

And my ricordeas that have been fine and growing the whole time

And then I picked up two new Zoo frags from Sho Tank.

I also am looking for one more fish to add to my YWG and pair of Black Clowns, can't decide what to get, any suggestions welcome.

I also just placed an order today for some new lights for this tank for the time being but that will eventually be transferred to the 24gal Nanocube I have sitting around.

I'll definitely update this thread when they come in and I get the new setup built. I plan to go rimless and hang the fixture over the tank which I think will look pretty cool.

Thanks for checking in!

I've been around, just not on the forums for a while haha. I want to get a few more frags since now my tank is pretty bare, thinking more zoas and maybe some SPS to test under the LED's.

Speaking of LED's!

I bought the 24 LED kit from Aquastyleonline.com, I bought the 24 with the intent of running it over the 12 at very low power since its mass overkill for that tank, and I am going to setup the 24gal cube and move everything to that tank along with the light which will be enough light for that size tank (24 led's, 3 watts a piece, 3 watts per gallon, 24 gallon, you get the idea)

No pics of all the parts because I was too excited to get going to take pictures. :)

Power adapters for the Drivers

I chose to cut off the connectors and then just solder it all together

Potentiometer soldered to the driver

Setup all drawn out, the yellow bulbs are the whites, and the clear are the blues, there is a mix of half 10,000k whites and half 6500k whites, If I was to do it again, I would definitely do all 10,000k whites because they're a true crisp white vs a slightly yellow white.

annddddd Soldered Up

I chose 60 degree optics, why? well I don't really know, I just picked the middle option (they offer 45, 60 and 80 degree)

plugged it in and it works!

set it on the floor and lit up the whole room!

Made a quick trip to lowes for some PVC pipe to make a temporary hanging fixture, probably going to make legs and have it stand on the tank instead of hanging

I also tested it out at knee height over the floor to play with the colors

blue down and white all the way up

about half white half blue

all blue

Overall, the kit cost me $139 shipped. Shipping was $37 from Hong Kong and I was originally very skeptical of how long it would take, I ordered it on the 28th, it shipped the 29th and was here the 30th... FROM HONG KONG! That made me a lot happier about how much I spent on shipping and overall, for $140 I am VERY pleased with this kit.

I literally threw my GSP out... decided it was wasting space in my tank and looked tacky. I'll pass on the GSP, thanks though!

What kinda frags do you have? I could be interested!

Nice build. If you're sitting right at the surface, you prob could to without lenses, but mounting it a little higher would prob be good for a bit. Let your coral adjust to the new awesome :)
