Hey all,
I'm looking to purchase a skimmer for my 75g tanks. The issue is I have limited space, and limited funds. I know these things are pricey, but I want to purchase the most effective one I can afford. I'm running a 75g tank with about 30 gallon sump. The skimmer chamber is only about 9x15. I would say my tank is med bioload right now, but will get heavier as time goes on.
I was looking at the reef octopus Classic 150int... Fits my budget and my sump. I would like to keep the skimmer under $300....I can maybe go up a little, but nothing crazy. What other suggestions do you have? I was looking at the Classic 160 as well, which supports a larger bioload, but says results vary in tanks under 100 gallons which made me shy away a bit. Anyway I would love to hear your suggestions.
Also of it's something that I can buy now, and put a better pump on on the future to improve performance, I would be down for that too.
