Mine currently ranges from $145-$280. I have 2 systems, a 210 ( one 250MH, rest LED) and 75 (all LED) and a 12 amp pool pump that runs 8-10 hours a day in summer from may to oct. (along with fishroom a/c on 24/7 in summer [120 volt 9 amp]). I'm always paying more for equipment that draws less (as in house a/c, fish LED lights, and return pumps/exhaust fans, etc.). Actual electric consumption is a factor when I buy something. I would guess, 99% of consumers never look at this. 10 years ago, same house (been here 15 years), my bills were over $400 on the high side (a few years never under $250 low end), with much, much, MUCH less water volume. I think salt water volume at the highest com ed dollar time was maybe 100 gallons? Now, maybe 400 gallons of salt? Just different equipment, much lower bills. There are com-ed intensives that (I think) re-start for residential coming up in (JUNE maybe?) for those that wish to change out their A-19 incandescent base lights for LED. Paperwork to fill out, I think receipts required. You can check out their website (in June?). It may not be posted yet, but it's coming. I'm also on a well, so I pay to pump water out of the ground. Electric, a necessary evil now a days.
