I have been a bit lazy and let a large area get covered with GSP. What is the best way to peel it off rocks. Scraping it off glass and bulkhead in no problem. Getting it off rock not so much fun. The stuff it really grippy.

Over the past couple of years my GSP has really started to spread. It seems to me that between water changes I am supplementing more cal/alk/mag. Is it the GSP using the tanks nutrients? I probably should just get rid of the rocks covered with the stuff, but I like the wave motion.

If I keep some live rock in the refugium does it need lighting? I'm just setting up my first tank. I have some extra rock and I read that putting live rock there will help with water quality.
